The partners Phil Gibb and Barrie Rogers of Winebizz have been in wine retail since 1986.

Over the years, Barrie has become a red wine "aficionado" with a particular passion for Pinot Noirs, with expertise that extends into all other red grape varieties. Phil has concentrated on the white side of the wine spectrum with no particular varietal favourites, just a hankering for great wines and for great value.

Their aim is to:

- Present all available wines at reasonable prices for the length of each vintage.

- Avoid the "retail specials" style of selling with prices determined by the whim of the retailer, during a particular week of an advertising campaign.

- Discount wines by approximately 25% to 30%, the only proviso being that a minimum of 12 bottles must be purchased in each order. These can be any mixture of wines.

Over the past 16 years the owners of Winebizz have developed contacts with the majority of companies within the wine industry, both the large and small suppliers. They are just as happy dealing with Southcorp, BRL Hardy, Orlando Wyndhams, as they are with the single vineyard small scale winemaker.

Many of the small winemakers of the country have hit the Sydney market initially through their recommendation from the Winebizz retail arm - The Summer Hill Wine Shop.
